FO: Plain old socks & nettle shampoo

(Edited to add cut soap pics)

Just another pair of plain old socks for me. Not that I need them in this gorgeous weather!!!

Pattern: Basic sock pattern using 60 stitches

Yarn: Lana Grossa Soja – this was a really soft sock yarn and hopefully hardwearing.

Needles: 2.5mm Addi Lace circs using magic loop.

My other creation yesterday was this!!

Obviously it’s still in the mould at the moment.  I did the two colour thing again on this one but poured the two colours into the mould together.  I have no idea if I will get decent marbling this time.  I checked on this a couple of hours after I made it and the heat in it was incredible.  I think that means that it will have completely gelled.  When I first mixed it, the green (from nettle powder) was quite pale but it has darkened in the mould.  Watch this space…..

………………….well I have cut it now and here is the result, less of a swirl more of a splodge!!

This is a nettle, rosemary and black pepper shampoo bar.  I used my new square mould and it was so easy to get out.  Just turned it upside down and out it slid.  It also puts very faint lines on the bottom of the bar for ease of cutting into equal bars so I now have 10 bars of apprx 125g each because I filled the mould to the top.

I had a try of the other two shampoo bars over the weekend, wow – squeaky clean or what??
