It is FINISHED at last!!!!!  And I really really like it!!

Pattern: Fireside Sweater by Amber Allison (Ravelry link)

Yarn: Araucania Toconao shade 849

Needles: 6mm

Mods: none

I may possibly have liked it slightly longer but I can live with that, and I think this is going to be a firm favourite for a long time.

  1. OMG, that is a beautiful sweater! I have yet to make a sweater because I’m afraid after all that hard work, it won’t fit right.

If you don’t mind me asking, what size did you make…it looks like it might be my size?

Also, is that sunshine I see??

Thank you for sharing. It is a beautiful sweater!

    • Hi Belle, I made the 34″ size but I am slightly bigger than that so I think the next size up would be fine too. The back seemed very narrow while I was knitting it but it is very stretchy.
I am only 5’1″ tall and would probably like it a bit longer so if you are taller than that add a bit of length before the waist decreases.
Yes it has been exceptionally warm and sunny here for the last week or so, unusual for the time of year. Some parts of the country already have drought conditions and hosepipe bans!
